What is Yoonla?
Yoonla, a brainchild of Reno Van Boven, was started in September 2016. And it has grown to become one of the most talked about platforms on the internet.
According to the founder, the primary goal of Yoonla is to help you create a digital lifestyle.
But Yoonla doesn’t have an About Us page. So it is hard to know exactly what the digital lifestyle really is.
While the platform points to making money online, Reno Van doesn’t even explain how. This, of course, might be a red flag to the first time visitors. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet.
How Yoonla Works, According to Most People
Yoonla is a two-tiered CPA based affiliate program that gives you the opportunity to make money from home.
Once you sign up for an account, the system will generate an affiliate link that you can use to promote the program.
You will earn money when:
- Someone signs up for a Yoonla account through your affiliate/referral link
- A member you referred to the program chooses to upgrade their account to VIP membership
Joining Yoonla is completely free; you can set up and activate a startup account in minutes.
Unfortunately, a free account has limited benefits.
So you’ll have to invest money into the program to get the most out of it.
How to Get Started with Yoonla
Let’s explain what’s inside the Yoonla member’s area.
Shall we?
1. Introduction Video
In the video, Reno gives you a brief explanation about Yoonla. He tells you how the program has grown, especially how more than 1.2 million members joined the program in its first phase.
Then, he says that honesty is the rule of the game at Yoonla.
Well, the video is great. But there is one problem with it: it doesn’t explain what you’ll be doing.
2. Step 1: Evolve App and Commission Tracking
Reno still doesn’t explain the Yoonla process, which is something you’d expect in the first step. Here, he instructs you to download a zip file.
Reno calls it the Evolve App. In simple terms, the Evolve App is a file you’ll use to create a squeeze page.
3. Step 2: Create an Automation Account
This is the step where you create an autoresponder called GetResponse. Reno likes to call it an automation account that automates the digital revenue stream. GetResponse isn’t free; it is premium software with four different pricing options charged monthly.
You can choose any plan from the four pricing options, but Reno recommends the $15 per month for people who are just getting started.
At this point, you still have no idea what you’ll be doing with the program. So, it isn’t clear why you need an automation account.
4. Step 3: Setup Automation Account
This step is straightforward. Reno teaches you how to set up your GetResponse account step by step.
5. Step 4: Create a Small Business Account
Step 4 is all about setting up a website. You can only set up a website hosting account with Yahoo. This costs $5.89 per month.
Although the cost of the hosting is displayed as a monthly charge, the payment screen will automatically default to yearly payments. So Yahoo will require you to pay $82.46 yearly for a full year.
Up to this point, the program will cost you $15 per month for GetResponse and $82.46 per year for hosting.
6. Step 5: Get Your Evolve App Online
Although this is the most complicated step in the process, Reno goes over the steps in details. With the help of his guide, you should successfully use an FTP program to upload your squeeze page to the hosting account you bought in Step 4.
7. Step 6: Customize Your Evolve Site
In step 6, you’ll learn how to make small changes to your squeeze page to make it looks unique.
8. Step 7: Activate Your Evolve Funnel
This is the final step of setting up your Yoonla account. All you need to do here is to confirm with Yoonla that you have completed all the 6 processes.
Reno and his team will activate your funnel and a unique affiliate link and then send you details within a day (24 hours).
You can start earning commission once your account is activated.
Is Yoonla a Scam? Or, Is It a Legitimate Business?
Yoonla may not be a scam, but the business model is questionable. We wouldn’t recommend this program to anyone who wants to join this Cost per Action affiliate program. And here’s why:
1. Reno Doesn’t Explain the Yoonla Process
First, Yoonla doesn’t have an About Us page. This makes it hard to know more about the program. Second, you have to pay for an autoresponder before you know what you are doing. This doesn’t make sense.
2. Activating Evolve Funnel
You can’t make money without a Yoonla Evolve funnel. The funnel will cost you more than $80 every year.
3. Deceptive Marketing
Yoonla doesn’t have any products to promote. The GetResponse that you pay for every month is used to promote one program: Yoonla itself.
Worse yet,
your squeeze page will look the same as the one owned by more than 1.2 million members.
To make money, you have to deceive other people into joining the program by telling them how rich Yoonla program can make them.
Is Yoonla Worth It?
Yoonla is not worth it, and we can’t recommend it to anyone who is serious about CPA marketing.
Here’s why we believe Yoonla is not worth the time and the money:
The setup costs are unreasonable. It doesn’t even make sense to pay up to $100 upfront before you know what you’ll be doing.
Yet, Yoonla wants you to pay that much to make money with their program. To be frank, we’d like to think that you would be far much better with CPA program like Max Bounty.
Is there a Yoonla Alternative?
The wealthy affiliate program is a good alternative to Yoonla. It is a great option to make passive income by building niche sites that you can easily scale. The program has both free and paid membership.
But unlike Yoonla, you never have to upgrade to a monthly premium account if you don’t want to.
The goal of wealthy affiliate program is to not only teach you how to get started with passive income aspect of online business but also coach you until you are good enough to become your own boss.
